I have not been on this forum for about 5 years or more.
Want to confirm or deny a rumor I heard that S&W is discontinuing Piston operated ARs. True or Not ???
I had a mint one in the 60's with 8 3/8th. bbl. Loved that caliber but back then components were hard to find for the 41.
I've been reloading since 1965. I sold it back then. Now I wished I would have kept it.
Paul,
Yes it does have that screw in front of the trigger guard. What does that indicate? Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner but I just now got back on the forum and saw your post.
Oh Murphy Dog, It does not have Mod. 17 on the gun at all. It has Smith & Wesson on the left side of the...
jmace57,
Thank you, and that sounds about right because I bought it used about 1966 and it is in great condition. Tell me something, How can I tell if mine is a K22-2, K22-3 K22-4 etc etc. Thanks again for your expertise.
Serial number
NEVERMIND I'm so stupid. I apologize buddy. I have the Crimson Trace grip laser and the serial number is covered up by that. I found it. Thank you berry much.
Serial Number on M&P 40C Compact Location ??
Jyezahn,
I don't see anything about where the serial number is located on this pistol????? I saw the video of the Crimson Trace and I thank you for that but don't see the other ???
I have a M&P 40c and it came with a Crimson Trace laser incorporated into the grip. I don't want to damage anyting but can't figure out how to get the Crimson Trace Laser off of the gun. I know I'm going to have to change the batgtery at some point.....
Also, this may sound stupid of me...
I have one of the S&W M&P 15-22 and I really don't think they are a gimmick. It is just a fun gun for me here in Pa. because we can't use them to hunt with. I have a lot of fun with it and it is a lot cheaper to shoot than my M&P 15 in .223.
Team :Sidewinder,
I agree with you completely. My eyes and steady hand is not the same anymore but if we were competeing against other 15-22's it would be fair and fun. I would just likie to find one in Pennsylvania to try, but I can't seem to find a match.
Do ya know of any?
Griffy,
Tell us the name of the shoot and what town it is being held in, or name of range in the town etc. Thanks. I'm from Pa. maybe I'll try to enter mine if it isn't too far. Thanks
Lee,
No I don't want any iron sights on the gun. My eyes just don't work on open sights anymore. I have a regular scope on her. If it breaks in a tight situation, I'll just point it at my adversary.
