After Spegels, whats the best grips for a 640?

The diamond checkered VZ's are great. They are compact, don't grab your shirt, and gives a very solid grip.

What type of tool is required to adjust rear sight on M&P 9C

Loosening the allen screw is the easy part. You will also need a sight pusher or a good vice, brass drift punch, and hammer to move the sight. My 9fs required a pretty good pounding to make it move, actually bent the punch and I had to cut it and reshape the tip. I've since bought a sight...

Are there questions I should ask when buying used brass

Once fired brass saves money, but you do need to do a bit of processing when you get them. For 9mm and .45 acp, I always look inside each case to make sure it isn't berdan primed - I've broken several decapping pins this way. Which isn't that a big deal, unless you are on a roll and its your...

What's going to be your next Revolver?

I hope...a snubby 657. If I can ever find one. They seem to have disappeared.

    Carpenter Bee Load ?

I've got a nice pellet rifle, but I have neighbors within 200-300 feet on 4 sides. I don't want to shoot someone's window, or alarm them by seeing me sneaking about with a long gun. There are enough trees that I could be discreet with a revolver, as long as it doesn't make much noise. Might have...

    Carpenter Bee Load ?

Hmm. Rice might be the ticket. I'm wondering about Osmocote fertilizer pellets, too... Wasp spray doesn't work very well on these bees, they are tough rascals. Pyrethrin sprays work well, but you have to get pretty close, and even then it takes several direct hits before they start acting drunk...

    Carpenter Bee Load ?

Yeah, I know - a strange request. But I'm getting tired of using the badminton racket - its fun when you hit one, but the range is very limited. And living in a log house, I have a spirited war with carpenter bees every spring and need something more effective. Has anybody got a very low...

    Main spring replacement

Be advised - sometimes Wolff springs require a longer strain screw to work. On newer guns, a Wolff spring will cause the rebound slide to hit the mainspring unless you put in a longer screw, because the channel that the 'power rib' forms extends down to where the screw makes contact, and it...

    Need help on 657

My 6" originally had a .160, but I could not get it sighted to POI at 25 or 50 yds. Had to swap it out with a .126.

    K22 Not firing

Probably not the ammo if you have used 3 types. Does it do this all the time or only after shooting a few cylinders full ? Some of them have real close tolerances and after a few rounds, the cylinders gum up, then if you don't seat the new load all the way, they will start misfiring because...

Grip Recommendation for N Round Butt for Small Hands

I like the Miculek grips. Good for small hands, no finger grooves that try to spread your fingers under recoil. I've got a pair on a 625 and then bought a pair for a 686+.

    Picked up my 625JM today

The factory JM grips fit me just fine. I've tried 2 types of rubber and Herrett Shooting Stars and settled back on the Miculeks. Give them a try, you might like them. Especially if you hate finger grooves.

    WOLFF REDUCED MAINSPRING ADVICE

Don't know about the reduced power spring, but I tried to put a Wolff "factory strength" spring in a new 686 and it hits the rebound slide when cocking it in single action. I emailed Wolff technical support about it and they said it would need a longer strain screw in a 686. So I just put the...

    main spring contacts rebound slide

In case anyone might be interested, I just got an email from Wolff tech support confirming that 686's need a longer than factory strain screw with their factory strength mainspring. It would be nice if they would warn people about that up front. I'll just stick with the factory spring and screw.

    main spring contacts rebound slide

I agree an altered spring or screw will cause this problem. The problem with mine was solely with the Wolff mainspring. Maybe that was what was in the gun that originally started this thread ? Consider this - you go in a tackle store, you can choose a fishing rod that bends at the tip, a rod...
