    Any SCUBA divers here?

Yup. I'm one too. PADI Dive Master & Master Diver. Had many great dives on Atlantic and Gulf wrecks. Also former NSS-CDS (Natl Spelo Soc -Cave Dive Sec.) and NACD (Natl Assoc Cave Dvrs). Laid some line and published some cartography we were proud to share. Really enjoyed the sport. Can't...

    Liquidating a (Family) Collection

Thanks for the input guys. I’ve already decided that the sales must be handled by others. I’m not knowledgeable, able, or willing to deal with individual item sales, GB or otherwise. This liquidation is not an urgent situation. The widow would like the collection to be gone, more from a...

    Liquidating a (Family) Collection

Same old issue but now I=m personally involved. A family member passed and his widow, a very close cousin, asked me to help dispose of them. To get an idea, there are over one hundred arms. They range from, in no particular order, appx 20 S&Ws; some HEs, but mostly modern revos, a doz...

    Groundhog

I'd bait a Hav-A-Heart with cantaloupe rinds. Ground hogs like most fresh green veggies but melon is best around here.

    Pics our Guineas

Best "early warning" you can have around the farm/barn. My G'parents had them and also a sizeable chicken flock. The gineas would roost overnite in nearby trees and rejoin the chickens daily.

Why so little interest in hunting on the forum?

Remember you are now on a sanitized family friendly board. With the prior admin, there were groups of hunters that posted often. The hand gun hog hunters got lots of play. Some of their threads were pretty wooly. There were also frequent thds with pics of long gun hunt activities. It seems...

    Feeling Violated

I too had the horror of blood in urine at about the same time, Jan '07. I also had multiple bladder tumors, Stage III invasive, and a strong family history of cancer. I sought multiple opinions and was directed to the IU Cancer Pavilion near my home in Indy. Major surgery was the collective...

    Recommended Guns for starting collection

Buy another. If it's different, make a choice. Buy some more. Pretty soon you'll have a pile you like. Then you will be an accumulator. If you then have a focus and get some more, you're beyond hope like the rest of us.

    I AM FED UP !

NO REFUND !! I take some measure of satisfaction knowing that the Fed system did not have the privilege of using my earnings interest free. I plan to have as little withholding as is legal. Those who get refunds are financing the beauracy without compensation.

    Assault Slingshot - from 1952

When a young single adult, some buds and I made a 5' slingshot out of 3" PVC pipe and strands of medical tubing for the sling. We used a large funnel for the projectile pocket and shot water balloons. Our fav acitivity was to launch into distant bleachers and crowds at racetracks. We could have...
