Here is my pet peeve. Follow me on this. First a little background. All my life like most people, I paid full pop on taxs. I also never went bankrupt or stiffed a person. Now even some comemtators and talk show hosts that I respect advertise outfits that "will fight for you" if you havent paid your taxs in years "to pay pennies on the dollar", or other outfits that specialise in dealing with creditors to also settle for "pennies on the dollar".
I once had a close friend that made captain. He used to tell some officers that wanted easy details or whatever, NO! If I do someone a favor it means I am screwing someone else! (He used a crudder word actualy). Thats how I feel and I would suppose most honest other people should feel to.
Many of us have lived like me. Paid every nickle and never stiffed anyone. Then we see other unresponsable people that run up debt and get out of most of it. That isnt fair! In my case I didnt have a bunch of kids useing public schools, I myself went only to small one room schools etc. I never needed a cop or fireman. I doubt hardly any if any tax money was ever spent on me save the military keeping my freedom.
Then I see our elected officals throwing fortunes away, spending ungodly amounts on ungodly foriegn countrys, biden chargeing over a million in two days on hotel rooms in paris and london and on and on. I have a hard time with all of this.
