For those that load 38 special

Like someone else said alloy type is also a concern different alloys have different weights due to the density of the material any and all variants must be taken in to account if you are trying for the best possible accuracy. Personally I like unique or BE86 in the 38 that has given me some real...

I am planning on it but the problem I am having is figuring out how I am going to capture the bullet. Since this is going to be a task with an 06. Honestly I wouldn't be worried about if I hadn't see the results from the 357 now I just gota know. Any ideas

That is the same mix of alloy I tried over the weekend with coated 357 and they worked great with no leading. I didn't use lube or any checks, I was able to recover one of them and the coating had held up much like a jacked round. I think that the babbit mix resembles #2 in a lot of ways. the...

    Alliant online... BE-86

Personally I have a lot of Alliant powders and I have a load that I use the powder that fits that load best. I even have some of the old powders so for me its all about max performance for the bullet I am using. I do like the BE kind of like unique and bullseye so I use it for 9mm and 357 +P...

The results are in I set up the chrono had the target @ 15 yards. I decided for proof of concept I would just go for broke. for the 357mag I used 125gr RF and it hit 1990 with 22.2 gr of 300-MP accuracy was spot on grouping of 1 in to 1.5in with no leading. Now I have to say I am impressed with...

So am I the only one?

I think I have to agree with the majority get the training carry what you feel comfortable with. My self I carry either a snubby or a shield or both depending on where I am going (Yes Overkill) the shield does have a safety and I do have it combat loaded ready to go but that may do to training

    38 special case deformation

I have had this happen with many different calibers as well depending on what kind of brass (brand) it could be slightly oversized if it was out of round it would fit if you turn it. I would just set it aside see if any others had the same problem
