Congratts to all the new shield owners. I have had mine now for about two years. Picked my .40 up in the first 6 months of production. Have shot over a thousand rounds now with no issues at all.
Fired over 1000 rounds in my shield at this point with no issues what so ever. I would believe the issue would be the ammo. All ammo is not created equally, LOL. Some of the cheaper mfg. ammo out there have uneven primers. So pick up a couple boxes of better known made ammo. I would try to...
Looks like I have one of the good ones. I have fired over 500 rounds out of my Shield with no feed problems or mag release issues. Every time I read posts like this one I go out to my range and fire 50 more rounds looking for any issues like the mag release. So far not an issue at all...

I was very pleased about the 40's recoil. I dont think it is any more than the glock 27. Pleasant to shoot. I hear the 9 is a nice smooth recoil. My wife loves the 40 but she will love the 9 even more, for her.
After getting use to my new .40 Shield I had enough of the close stuff. So I backed off to see what it can do at 10, 15 and 20 yards. Got out the Zomby Rat at 10 and 15 yards. 3 and 3/4 group. The Zombe Pig was shot at 20 yards. 4 1/4 inch group. All shooting was standing with no rest...
