It's just the light. The finish is nickel and looks like new. The rear third of the bore appeared tarnished slightly, but there was no pitting in the bore and rifling is undisturbed. The cylinder has no powder marks anywhere.

Don, Roy did not mention whether 0C through 4C are still known to exist. The obvious question is whether you have any of those guns. I'm thinking of checking with the Historical Foundation to see if they have any info, but with no great confidence. Dave
