$35 +/- per 1K for CCI, Federal, Winchester at my local shop. Supply is still sporadic but at least they have primers in stock more frequently lately.

I just got my Shield 40 yesterday and have only fired about 150 rounds. However, right out of the box the slide didn't seem too stiff or difficult to rack and from most of the posts it seems that it will get even easier with use. I'm looking forward to putting a lot of rounds through it.

Georgia is easy and quick. Only an application and background check and the permit was issued in about a week.

About $79 in my county in Georgia for a 5-year permit. Each county charges similar fees but they can vary a little. Only requirement is an application and background check. Very straightforward process and I had mine within two weeks.
