A Rock Island Armory auction held in May of 2016 had a Schofield with documentation as being recovered at Little Bighorn. The family of a Lakota chief named Spotted Elk claimed it had been in the familys possesion since the battle. It had a serial number of 7942, six inch barrel.

Anyone ever have a stuck slide on a SW40VE. Trigger pin is part way out, can"t get it back in all the way. Slide will go forward about an inch, may be hitting the trigger bar. There was a thread about this a few years ago. The two members who posted on this hav'nt been active for a few years...
