    My first S&W revolver 29-3

Maybe not a collectors "favorite", but a fun first revolver.

What year range for 2 gen 9mm 6906?

...and most any nice third gen at that price is very good!

I picked up a "brick" today

    Nice collection.....despite my recent 6946 addition....I still need a nice 6906 again!

    6904 Two Tone

I came to that same conclusion last night while surfing on GB/GA and noticed the LE 6906 trades had the triple serial numbers like mine. I'd have to guess mine was an over run since there's no holster wear whatsoever.

Didn't mean to insinuate that you did...just offering another perspective. That's why they make so many options....something for everyone!:^) A friend at church just ordered his BG....I'm looking forward to trying it out!

    BG 380-LCP

To be fair....and balanced... My LCP worked fine out of the box. I took it home, cleaned it, cycled the slide a bit as you should on any small auto and it worked perfectly. I couldn't say that about the M&P9c I had. Never polished anything and never changed out the spring. I ran Hornady CD...

    6904 Two Tone

Possible. It has the # on the left side as normal above the model. But then has it in the same place on the right side, just above that on the slide and on the barrel visible at the ejection port. I didn't recall if my 6906 was like that or not...

    6904 Two Tone

Very sharp. Nice snag! Btw, my 6946 has matching serial #'s on the frame, slide and barrel. I guess I figured that was normal...could that have been added later?

    69XX history?

    Thanks! I appreciate the feedback.

    Could be an awesome day?

That's a sad day.... But how many times have we ALL done that? You look at something and decide to think about it, maybe do some research, whatever...and when you go back or call..it's gone! It happened to me twice in July...so when I saw a nice 6946, after years of regret in selling my 6906...

    6904 Two Tone

I recall when I bought my 6906 'back in the day" I saw several two tone versions as well....always wondered if Smith did that or a dealer at the show was having a good time....but figured if the dealer was doing it serial #'s wouldn't match.....
