I searched this topic a few ways and did not see it

Absolutely, a picture is worth a thousand words. And a thousand thanks! I was wondering if I needed to go to Albertson's or the gun store for the Chore Boy.

    .41/.44 primer help

I have been using CCI magnum large pistol primers for my .44 Magnum loads since about December, when I couldn't find any regular large pistol primers. I use either 8.8, 8.0, or 7.5 grains Unique, and they all work fine with 240 gr LSWC. The 7.5 is a shoot-all-day load, and the 8.8 is a...

    9mm 124gr RNBB

I have loaded 125gr lead RN from Western Nevada (Carson City) at 4.8gr Unique for my CZ-85. A little smoky but still decently hot, and the CZ does like a hot round. Used both regular and Magnum primers in them. I would actually go just a tad hotter with this load if I still had those...

How much your CCW Permit cost?

Actually, I'm relieved that the OP even has the option of being able to apply for and receive a CWP, considering the state he's living in...better to make it somewhat expensive, but still attainable, than to prohibit it altogether.

What distance do you practice with your J frame snubbie?

Exactly. It is also important to know YOUR limits, so practice at different ranges, then you'll know them and be able to make the decision informed. There's already enough going on; have the distance factor down to go/no go so the rest of your decision-making can focus on the specific situation.

Who carries a full size concealed?

I do, (CZ-85) but my holster is in my fanny pack, which doesn't really look so strange on a woman ;) I can't imagine being able to conceal that thing any other way on my person!

    My "First Time"

I have to agree, carrying is something you have to get used to... Before I received my permit, I purchased the fannypack holster and wore it around everywhere, which was a learning experience for me anyway to keep tabs on a purse, since I have historically abhorred carrying a purse. Why do it...

What is the best brand of primer

Definitely, whatever you can get your hands on, nowadays. I have used both Magnum and regular primers, and yes, the Magnums are a little hotter (enough to know the difference), but as long as you're not loading a max or close to max load already, you shouldn't have any problem not changing your...

    Lee Pro-1000 reloading solution

I just went through the annoyance of getting proper throws from the Powder Disc Measure, and the only thing I did that seemed to fix the issue for me was to make absolutely sure the thumbscrew nuts were completely tight so the measure didn't move in anyway. This also seemed to fix the chain...

    Lee Pro-1000 reloading solution

I prefer decapping separately for the above reason, but also because I can then tumble the decapped cases in a separate step so the primer seat is definitely cleaned and that primer won't hold any tumble media to get in the works in later steps. I also use a hand primer to prime. I suppose I...

Question for our Women Forum Members: Is using "Ma'am" offensive?

Don't call me Ma'am...I work for a living! Well, that was always my reply when I was in uniform...now, only those who know about my past service get that reply. Otherwise, I figure it's simply a polite address and I am a bit bemused, unless it is delivered in a "less-than-polite" manner:)

    Open Carry?

About 2000 actually showed up? I consider that in that area of the country, that's a HUGE improvement over not even having an OC event at all... left coast, indeed :)

    Open Carry?

If you OC anywhere, you're just plain asking for it if you don't maintain your situational awareness. NEVER give up your SA.

Need help with value on 3 revolvers...

Just don't lose the original wood grips, won't detract from the value at all and it will allow you to keep the originals in the same condition you got them in. Grats on the excellent deal!
