I did get the first gen TP9. I like it just fine. Magazines are getting a bit scarce... ordered some from J&G Sales. For the money, I recommend this gun.

I've read the Stingray is heavy as a brick, which is ok (I guess) as this would be a nightstand gun. Anyone know the best/cheapest place to get imports such as the Canik Stingray? Thanks for all the replys.

First, let me say I'm a S&W guy all the way. Lately, I've been eyeing a Canik TP-9 from Bud's Gun Shop. Something not to pricey, so if I lose or damage it, I won't feel too bad. I've seen nothing but positive reviews about this gun... what do you guys think? Thanks

Scored some .22 ammo at Walmart today. Just happened to go to the sporting goods department around 9:00am. Had to stand in line behind Walmart employees to get the last 3 bulk boxes. This is the 3rd store where I've seen employees doing this...Most of the time I'm too late.

Internally, is this thing safe for daily carry? Thanks, Tony

Actually, it's a total of 3 mags. The one that comes with the gun and 2 additional. All the M&P22s I've tried have felt the same. It seems to me the thumb safety on all the other M&Ps have a very defined on/off thumb safety where the 22 is less defined. Sort of "mushy".

I have a chance to buy a new M&P22 unfired with case and paperwork and all original packaging for $300. Also included are 2 additional magazines. First, is this a good deal? I'm thinking it is, but want to make sure. Second, are the safety mechanisms the same as the other M&Ps? The thumb...
