Duty round for our Air Marshals is good enough for my EDC.
My EDC gun is the HK P2000 LEM in .357 SIG. The Air Marshal duty round is the Speer LE Gold Dot. # 53972.
It depends on the weather and my clothes. If it is strictly shorts and t shirt weather, one has to do. But if I can wear a vest, jacket, or coat I carry a BUG. Granted it is a very light and last ditch BUG but it is there. North American Arms Mini Master. Four inch barrel for much better...
I saw a _bunch_ of the Coonan's at H&H gun store in OKC this weekend. I don't know if they bought them out or what but there was a whole display cabinet of them.
My every day carry gun is an auto in .357. Of course it is actually an HK P2000 LEM in .357 SIG but it's the same 1450 fps with 125...
I mentioned my cosmetically challenged early M28 HP earlier. Refinished in matte chrome by APW. (I was wrong about that. See further down.) There were some questions so I might as well show a few pics again.
Here is one photo of what the gun looked like when I received it. "Honest holster wear"...
Years ago I bought a four inch M28 on GB. The outside had major scrapes and scratches. I only half kiddingly speculated that it came out of the holster of a motorcycle cop at 75 mph and skidded on cement for a hundred yards. Internally it was decent but well used. I got it for a cheap price but...
Interesting. I've considered selling off some of my S&W collection on gunbroker. I'm an excellent photographer but I'm not an FFL or other gun pro. I've never considered using an intermediary on gunbroker. Seems obvious now that you mention it but never occurred to me.
That would add to costs...
I have never understood the logic of such a statement. We aren't required to live where we were born or something. I've lived in several different states over the years. I made the decision long ago that I would never live in CA. So the fact that I don't live in CA isn't "fortunate." It's a...
Just a word on lighting...
I'm building a dedicated building for my reloading stuff. I used to do it in a big closet in the house. Then we had children and I lost the spare room. So then I had a big area in the 40x50 shop/garage. But we actually need the room out there for other things. Plus it...
I will agree that he is in a tough spot. Not just his seat but some of the other Senators up for reelection in the next cycle. Democratic Senators in red states. So IMO, he will try very hard to avoid even bringing anything up for a vote UNLESS he really believes it can pass the House.
The...
Just wanted to put the closing post onto this saga.
The seller sent me a new center pin. I went and bought a new fine file. The guy at the store tried to sell me a Dremel sanding wheel. Which I realized I already had at home in many configurations. So I put the new center pin in a couple of...
That's the first thing I did. But the cylinder wouldn't close. The muzzle end of the pin wouldn't quite clear the frame and go into the channel. So I pulled the new pin back out and actually got out the digital calipers.
I just went and looked at it with a magnifying glass. It looks OK to me...
BTT
Maybe I need to start a new topic that is titled something like, "How do you shorten a center pin" just to get some fresh attention? People see a subject line that they've already read several times and they don't open it!

The pin arrived. It slides right in and out just fine. But...
You were right! S&W was just hoping, I suppose!
The old one is 4.070" long.
The new one is 4.131" long.
It's possible the length of the old one was slightly distorted by the bend so I can't consider that "the perfect length." I...
