Leave it be . The hot gasses will keep it clear . You dont want to get anything stuck in your gas tube .

I know exactly what he is talking about doing ,why chop off the barrel then add a comp to bring it back to sixteen inches . Cans that go on comps don't slide very far onto them , so the overall savings will be around two inches with the can attached . Seems like a lot of work for very little gain .

I've been reloading since the mid 90's . Never cleaned a primer pocket . Ammo shoots just fine . Using a turret press to load 45 acp and 45 super .

I paid $ 540 at my LGS for a 9 FS LE with three mags and night sights just last week . I would not do it .

Seven thirty rounders for a standard combat load of 210 rounds .

If I needed it , yes . If I just wanted it , no . Ultimately its up to you . Just got me a M&P 9 LE for $540 .

My rear sight came off pretty easy using a brass punch and plastic hammer . Set screw no problem either .
