As we all know, our friend Red Nichols retired earlier this year, closed up his holster operation and mostly withdrew from the Internet, although he has continued to post to his holsterguys blog as the mood strikes.

Recently he asked me if I'd like to have his early Bianchi Bruce Nelson M&P holster like the one I had back then. Of course I would. Well, then he said he was cleaning out the closet, so to speak, and would throw a few more holsters into the box. And would I maybe like an Andy Anderson holster too?? Duh!

The box arrived yesterday, and I'm gob smocked. He said it's a small return for my research assistance. More than I deserve. Thank you, Red. You're a generous friend.

Pictures attached include a few previously given to me along with what he said will be the last holster he'll ever make. In thanks for our research on Dallas PD detective Jack Donihoo, Red made two identical Donihoo holsters with 10 degree rake for Txshooter and me. I asked which one was actually last. Red said we could each claim to have the one!

I'd bet he'll make other holsters although this one may well be the last marked Nichols / Berns-Martin holster.

No question about Red Nichol's generosity. Some of my most prized
leather is from his hands. On the left is his Brill-Persons holster with
my Colt's Gold Cup. He also made the Sidewinder belt.
On the right is the first proto-type of Tom Threeperson's personal
holster. Sidewinder belt again. All gifts from Red's generosity.
Sorry if you have seen these before, I have posted them several
times, because I am proud of them.

I know I sure have enjoyed reading his input here. WOW i've learned alot and enjoyed the pics of all the classic holsters and leather gear.

Congrats on the honor of having some of those holsters. I really do appreciate quality gun-leather.
