Manufacture Date for Model 629-5?

I bought this Mountain Gun NIB from a dealer back in 2001. I never did know the date of manufacture.
I have the box, with all the info on it. Where can I look up the date?
The serial number is CEK5***. The product code is 103653

I have cek 4xxx also a mountain gun. No mention of cek in 5th standard catalog of S&W, but cej and cel are from 2000.

The one I have seems to have received more of a high polish than other dash models. Yours looks pretty shiny also.

I’m just going off memory but the -5 run of 629’s is a short one.
I’d like to say mid 99 to late 01, I’ve only HAD one.
If you post a clear pic of your box label it’s probably on it, in the form of a code

something other than the product code and serial number?

The 4 digit number under Spec. Ord. 1st digit is the last number of the year. The next three digits are the day of that year.
