Serving notice or asking for trouble?

Probably depends on where you are. I see them here all the time - mostly on pickup trucks.

I say to each his own. I personally do not put stickers on my vehicles, but it isn't over security concerns. I just don't like the way they look after a couple of years. The ones on windows are especially egregious since they block part of your view out.
This is the only sticker on the back window of my truck.

First Amendment says you can do whatever you like along these lines. But it also doesn't say you won't face consequences from your speech! Given how common car break-ins are in many places these days, this just strikes me as an invite for someone to give this vehicle a try to see if an easy-to-steal gun could be acquired. I also agree with those who mention parking this in your driveway advertises that you are a gun owner. Freedom of speech includes freedom to not ...

Just the other day - was in the McDonald’s Drive Through for a coffee.
Ahead of me was a Black new model Ford Expedition.
Chihuahua plates. Ruger decal on rear glass!
Really! Had no idea those Mexican Folks were Ruger Fans!

Saw this today....not sure how I feel about this kind of advertising.....could be serving notice not to mess with, or asking for trouble....
Personally, I don't like any stickers on my car. But from time to time, I wear my S&W cap when I'm out. But I don't do it for a threat, but instead for comfort, and protecting my balding head from the sun! And since I grew up in Detroit, I'm paranoid enough that if someone were to follow me home, they will wish they hadn't as soon as I open my door.

Wow, Really? I see this stuff on a lot of vehicles, with no problems, Ducks Unlimited and Browning seem to be popular around here. I have a Triumph decal on my truck, should I be worried that someone will follow me home and steal my bikes? I also have an NRA and a Cubs decal, maybe someone will break into the garage and take the kids baseball equipment. Guess it depends on where you live.

all those nice weapons but drives a KIA, sheezzzz. Oh well, someone will take notice and remodel it for them sooner or later no doubt.

Out here in the west it's pretty common as a matter of fact you could probably break into any vehicle and find a firearm, although I would not advise it as most people are carrying concealed.

...I know I'm repeating myself when I say "well, I live in Texas" but here, outside of the major urban areas, it's not uncommon to see such sights. That being said, the days of seeing gun racks with firearms in pickup trucks with guns in them is nearly gone. Mainly, I think, that is due to the theft problem much more than any anti-gun bias.
Personally, I removed the NRA stickers from my pickup a couple years ago just to be on the safe side and keep a lower profile.
