Why We CHANGED the Forum Software

Format is great, except for the inability to auto size the content to the device where the content is being viewed. Have to scroll left and right to read even short posts on a phone. Very frustrating, and this is a frustration I will not get used to... Hard to enjoy the forum.

I am no expert on devices, but I think that is a problem with your device, not the forum. And actually it’s not a problem with your device, but rather a setting issue. I would google “fit to screen” for whatever phone or tablet you are using. I think all you need to do is adjust your settings.

I love it when I'm logged in, when I'm not I like the old site better. But ever since the change I'm getting daily emails from the forum that give me heart flutters...my initial thought being good grief what did I do now to get a suspension.

Congratulatons on a job well done!! I like it! I am still learning, of course, but it not so much different, just a matter of getting used to it. We've all gone through many, many changes if Windows and working software in the last 30 years, so we should all be able to adapt to this one too. :)

The only thing I've found that I'd like added or changed is the ability to do multiple quotes on posts. Otherwise I like the new version just fine.
You can (see the above post by wlw-19958).
Click "reply" on the first post you want to address and enter your comment.

Before you click "Post Reply" (below the message window), scroll up and click "reply" on another post you wish to quote. Lather, rinse, repeat... ;)

I am not a prolific poster but it looks ok to me.

Hopefully this works better than some of the “upgraded” sites I visit like the Marlin Owners andRuger Forums. a nice places but what ever they did for advertising locks up my ipad and really really stalled typing speed. You’d type but nothing would appear for minutes. I quit posting which is not what I preferred.

Edit to say thank you and I was pleased that my typing took like it should.

In another XenForo forum I participate in there is an additional option in the lower right-hand corner of posts. In addition to the "Like" and "Reply" options there is a "+Quote" option that allows multiple quotes.
It looks like this. As a moderator I also have the "Edit" and "Delete" options listed.

I am mostly a reader rather than a poster but I do enjoy the content, especially the photos folks post of their beautiful revolvers. I just want to say thank you to the folks that undertook this task. I like the new look and it made me get off my wallet and join as a paying member. So again, THANK YOU.
