Alaskan guides swear by Siberian Forest Cats.
I don't think Goose would be much help against a bear. He just had a fight with a roll of paper towels. I put a stop to it quick, but up 'til then it looked pretty close.

While a funny story, eventually I would bet that cat will finally meet up with a bear that is hungover or had a bad fight with his lady bear friend and he will be in no mood to be messed with by a piddly little cat. Not going to end well for that beautiful cat, better off keeping her indoors.
