I just picked-up an outstanding 61-3, including box, pouch, and spare mag (still in its plastic bag). Any suggestions on what ammo tends to work better in these guns? I know they are considered to be "finicky". Thanks!

Start with CCI Standard Velocity. If it doesn't run reliably up the game to High Velocity CCI ammo. Avoid Hyper Velocity.

Well, initial testing after a full lube went well:
5+1 rounds of 40 gr Federal Gold Medal Match standard velocity = 100% operation.
5+1 rounds of 40 gr Federal Lightning "normal" high velocity = 100% operation.
Definitely snappier with the warmer round.
