Help dating a 640

Hello folks! I picked up a wood grip 640 not so long ago and I would like some help figuring out its age. We are looking at a 2in barrel, stainless steel throughout, chambered for .38spl. The serial number is BKB2***.

What about prefix BPH can't find in your list. TIA
 
There's a ton of mysteries in the alpha prefixes. I think they did that to confuse the enemy. It looks like '93 according to L2's post. I need more coffee! (Edit to add: I also need to get the latest SCSW edition.)
 
Let us not overlook the CEN prefix Here is CEN 004. May we assume CEN is for Centennial?
