I thought it seemed familiar. ;)
Me. too. But since I can't remember the last time I had a memory lapse, I thought I'd better give it a "like" in case I missed something. I think I posted a link to his phone call with Sir Walter Raleigh last year.

#Bigride: Don't fall for that one about Elvis. He's just left the building.

I've always respected anyone that is good at standup comedy, and he was. Standup comedians are about the only people that make me laugh anymore...

He's on my Mt. Rushmore of comedy. Carlin, Pryor, Newhart. Last spot I can't decide. Probably Chappelle. With honorable mentions to Brooks and Dangerfield.

I wouldn't include Carlin in that group. His career eventually digressed into a very despondent diatribe against the government that wasn't funny, at least to me.

I'm quite surprised. I'm sure I must have heard it when he died last year but it completely slipped my mind.

Steven Wright too. Frank Gorshin did a fantastic Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas among others. I know he was an impressionist but he made me laugh pretty good. You know all these comedians we mentioned all used no foul language or politics in their acts. Except Carlin
who was very funny but got pretty mean in his older years.

Probably because his humor was so prophetic.
