Is Mod-18 unique?

Off the top of my head I can only think of the M67 .38 Special Combat Masterpiece.
There's prolly more, but I'm tired right now.

Model 520. And the only model-marked Model 11's I've seen were 4 inchers.

I've always wondered, is the Model 18 the only S&W revolver that was offered only with a 4" barrel, or were there others?

We have seen 'mistake' guns whose frame is marked Mod.18 , but have longer barrels of a Mod.17.

But were they sold as Mod.17 or Mod.18?

From what I can remember they made the M-18 in 4 inch taper barrel until the middle 80s. Then to save money? S&W started to manufacture the M-17 with a heavy 4 inch barrel and discontinued the M-18.

The 63s were unique for about 15 years, when they eventually introduced the 2 inch version.

The 18-4 ended the 18 line (until recently resurrected).

The 6" Model 17-5 also offered in 8 3/8 was then also offered in 4"
to fill the need for a "Combat" version .

Pretty sure the Model 67 was only offered in 4".
