I’m sure horn and bone are not many peoples cup of tea, but theses are so well done I wish I could justify the price and make them mine.

Maybe he can justify it, but any grip over $250 to $300 seems a little over the top…. maybe justified for an heirloom museum piece, not a gun that is being used.

Ivory grips are in that price category and above depending on the grain.

While I have Ivory on several firearms, few get carried and only two get shot with any regularity

With the damage that President Obama did to the Ivory market, I have just bought some grips made from Woolly Mammath tusk (Thousands of Years Old) for the new 1911 I am working on. They were about half the price of what plain Ivory would have cost me

I would want to see their fit on a gun first. But my oh my !!! .... If they are a well executed fit, I could justify that $. Being copies of the K/L round combat factory style notch it up double for me ! They are the moment Marilyn walks into the cocktail party when all the conversation stops and everyone stares at her as she smiles and walks over to the piano !! :)

I whole-heartedly agree. If I knew they would fit right on my 66-1 snubbie, I'd buy them. They are absolutely stunning!

I have bought from Rogers as well and not been disappointed. I know that sounds like a lot but in a few years you will be happy you have them. They wont be coming down in price.

EXACTLY. Extremely well said. 👊

Those have been on Rogers web site for a long time...I admire them from time to time but just can't get myself to go the number...

Those look awesome, but... can't help wondering what @bigmntman could do with horns like that... (hint) ;):D

That company is also selling fairly common replicas of S&W combat grips for $159, while the same product, most likely made in Thailand, sells for half that price. I bought a pair of plain walnut RB combats about 18 months ago, in part to see what they were like... they were indistinguishable from a similar set bought on ebay for ~$90. Even had the same cheap knockoff S&W medallions.

They also sell S&W factory target stocks for about double ebay prices... This does note mean I dislike the grips, I am just a bit wary of the seller.

For the person who bought the Culinas, you got a much nicer set for a few dollars more.

As far as Mamoth tusk goes... drool!

The grips are worth it only if that is what they are selling for. Not how bad you want them.

The valuation of any unit of anything desired varies both from individual to individual and moment to moment.

copied James E Hanley from the website
American Institute for Economic Research

Nice Ram grips.
