Ok found my battery charger,so here's some pics of my new little friend,if you've watched the movie/followed the comic Hellboy you'll notice this thing looks like something he'd carry around.

I honestly find this gun a hoot to lite off, recoil isn't that bad,now I'm not,and will not, stuff .395Gr Godzilla loads in it,I don't think this kind of .460 is made for that, this is a close-in "get the hell off of me" gun.

I honestly wouldn't want a snub .500,it's way too much pistol for such a set up,now a four inch .500 is fine and as short as you'd want to go.

That said the .460 is a beast all it's own, with some loads going up to 2,000+ ft lbs of muzzle energy you're talking about a literal cannon of sorts.

From what i gather the 260gr stuff I picked up goes 1,500 or so ft lbs of muzzle energy,so it's not high end burn the barn down types shells....but it still leaves the .44 in the dust and is even ahead of the .454 a bit!

Like my .375 carbine no one wants to shoot it,even if I offer to pay them :o

Work up some short barrel loads for a .500... and I would carry the ES version.
Especially if I could do some fixed sights on it.

Unless I'm wrong....the Cylinder&Slide fixed sights that's on the Night Guard series should work on this beast, all I need to figger out is if it's the K/L or N frame ones that fit.

And yes I intend to put some on mine if I find they fit.

Not exactly what many would expect if you told 'em you were packing a "5 shot snubbie". :)

That thing is a monster. Hellboy you say, I can see it.

Nasty gun. Do you have any leather for it?

At the moment I have two holsters that fit it-one is made for a large auto with a light (or airsoft something) and to be frank is a cheap and bulky affair, but it does fit.

The other is a large revolver sized Uncle Mike's fake suede IWB job, another of those cheap $14 jobs that just work.....

I think for a good holster I'm going to get some kind of IWB in leather or kydex, and a kydex belt holster.

Yes one can IWB this beast, but I suspect if you went with a belly band you may get arrested for indecency :D

I can't tell you if they'll fit, but I just ordered a set from Smith for an N frame. I don't have my notes in front of me but I think they'll run you about $90.00 for the C&S fixed rear and the big dot night front. Reasonable pricing if you compare that with ordering from the OEMs.

The rep at Smith told me the front will need to be drilled for the retaining pin hole and it arrived just as described. Seeing your .460 has two pins, make sure you have enough meat on the sight base to facilitate the additional hole.

Quick Edit: I held the C&S rear up to my .500 and it "looks" like it would fit with no issues. One other tidbit to save you a small hassle; you will need a second rear sight mounting screw for the C&S. Neither myself or the rep caught that when I ordered mine. Hats off to Smith, a follow up call resulted in them sending me two screws at no charge!

Thanks Winger,my plan is to keep the fiber optic front if I do change it it'll be a tritium front blade over anything else.

And thanks for the size info,I'm still gonna call C&S and ask them about fit and and parts, but anything you give me is helpful.

Get it cut for moons clips and shoot the 45 acp or gap also out of it. That would be a big list, 460/ 454/ 45 LC/ 45 S&W/ 45acp/ 45 gap.
