State Trooper S&W revolvers from around the country.

I love both State Trooper duty weapons and commemoratives. I will share those of mine that are already photographed.

Starting with my favorite, the 6" RISP model 66 with the lanyard loop. Less than 200 were made before the RISP went to a 4" barrel. This one is unissued. I almost did not buy this one, the asking price was way too high. Then I saw that the serial number was my birthday. Obviously GOD was telling me to get it.

1973 was the 40th anniversary for the Ohio Highway Patrol. In honor of the event a 4" blue Smith & Wesson Model 10 was produced. 2,025 were produced.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol produced this 4" Model 66 Smith & Wesson for their 50th anniversary in 1981. 900 were manufactured.

These Kansas Highway Patrol model 586s are from a run of 338 produced for the 50th anniversary in 1987. Probably one of the best badge inlays I have seen

Here are two of my Smith & Wesson Trooper stamped revolvers. The 681 was the first one I was issued in the New York State Police and the 28-2 was the prior one. Both are stamped NYSP under the cylinder.

Not State Troopers, but revolvers from a state law enforcement agency.

That is a nice way to collect revolvers. Some beautiful guns there with a unique pedigree. How did you guys locate these former police issued weapons?

Montana Highway Patrol Comm. Issued in 1979 with a total of 213 manufactured. Shipped in the standard two piece box.

Another shot of the MHP patch on the sideplate.

The 28-2 I carried on the MHP for several years, before we went to 5903's. Wearing a set of smooth Targets, not the butt ugly pach's we were all stuck carrying.

Here is mine a Washington State Patrol a post war, transition 1926 3rd Model .44 Special. Unfortunately when decommissioned the Washington State Patrol stamps were ground off the back strap. On mine you can just make out the first three letters. It sure is a great shooter.

Ankona, I've been doing this for about 10 years now. A lot of times I just keep looking, everyday! A lot of these I have been able to get ahold of the Troopers who used to carry them and I have them tell me its story. Some of been nice enough to write me out something about the time they carried it.

Thank you for the reply. You just gave me an idea.
