I think this is funny as all get out... mainly because all I can do is laugh at the absurdity of it.
1st wrong... this recently acquired 625-8 JM. Like many of the current revolvers, S&W can't seem to get the barrels on where they aren't over tightened and cant the front sight to the left. Rather than immediately send it back, I took it to the range and found that while the front sight leaned to the left in the rear sight notch, I could shoot it pretty decently.
After seeing how many people have sent their guns back to S&W only to have them returned with frame wrench marks and nothing much else to show for it, I decided that it wasn't worth the cat & mouse game a number of people have played with S&W service to little satisfaction, and decided to just put up with it since it shoots well.
2nd wrong... I hated the gold bead front sight, so I bought a green Hi-Viz. Holy cow, it has an issue too, When viewed from the muzzle end it's leaning slightly to the left (from the rear it would be toward the right). The factory sight blade didn't do that.
Which in turn, has made everything right...
a nicely aligned, parallel front sight in the rear sight notch, I can't wait to try it out at the range!!
