Default LGS Jackpot 632-2 Pro .327 Fed NIB

Hey All,

I’ve been keeping my eye out for something chambered in .327 Federal, shortly after I picked up a Model 16-4 4” in .32Magnum.

As the 16-4 4” is as about as pristine as can be, I didn’t want to alter it by having the cylinder bored out to accept .327 Federal as many enthusiasts do. Also finding a spare 16-4 cylinder to send out doesn’t seem likely.

Anyways I happened upon this at my LGS, a 632-2 Pro in .327 Federal/Magnum. New in Box, with all paperwork, Fired Cartridge Etc.

This is my first Pro-Series Revolver, and my first revolver in .327 Federal.

Needless to say, it made my day!

Enjoy!

A few years back I bought a new M16-4 cylinder. I rechambered it to .327 Federal and I am in the process of building a K frame .327, using a rebored M53 barrel.

I think I bought the cylinder from Brownells.

Just checked:

Great find. Presumably not produced in large numbers and they seem pretty scarce.

.327 Federal Magnum: louder than .38 Special and pretty snappy in a J Frame, but pretty good ballistics (approaching a .357 Magnum) plus six rounds in a J frame instead of five!

Easy and fun to reload, yielding a lot of savings per round and the ability to build the round to the level of power/recoil you want to practice with.

It would be great to see S&W put that gun back into production some day.

Congratulations, that was a great price on a desirable gun! I picked one up several years ago and was thrilled to get it.
They’re not easy to find and I’ve seen them sell for twice that.

.....now go buy a lottery ticket...average selling price for those is in the $1500 area...

Two years ago I basically had the same thing happen to me. A gun shop who sells on GunBroker had one LNIB for a starting bid of $599.00...BuyNow of $600.00... Was one of the best shooting snubbies I have ever owned. Was offered a trade for a LNIB 16-4 4" and did it...I get a lot more use out of it than would ever with the snubby...

Have a great time with your gun...S&W is missing a lot of sales not bringing this one back...

I must be missing something as the cylinder says it is a .357 Magnum not a .32 Magnum...

How is your Jet barrel project going??

Link takes you to a K frame 357 cylinder at Brownells, Probably because the 32 cylinders are long gone.

Default Confirmation, Sadly!

I was just on the phone with Brownell's who confirmed that the cylinder is from Numrich Gun Parts and is cnhambered for the .357 Magnum not the .327 Magnum. Bummer for sure.

Look closely at the link and notice the heading and then look at the description below the cylinder, heading says .32 Magnum K Frame Cylinder but below the description says .357 Magnum.

PS: Apologies to Nathan510, congratulations for a great find, did not intend to hijack your original post!

Sorry about that. I guess I didn't read the caption on the actual cylinder closely.

As to my .327 build, I'm trying to finish a couple of other projects that I started a year ago first, then I'll work on the K frame conversion.

At the moment, my shop is suffering a invasion of wasps. Gotta get rid of those first!
