I recently picked up a model 60 / .38 special.
Last year I carried a 60LS .357, but the finish is satin, and it never moved much in my pocket.
My model 60 now has a high polished finish. Now mainly this gun is for my wife, but I wouldn't mind using it myself. Is the ClipDraw Gun Clip a good choice?

I have used the Barami hip grip with total satisfaction many years ago. The barami is very secure as the gun rides so low, and the clip part never slipped. A couple of years ago I put a "clip grip" on my 642 and the second day wearing it i was on the back patio moving some things around and the gun fell out on the concrete. That was the end of that experiment.

Nope, such devices are not legal here. One has to have a holster of some sort to carry.

luangtom, actually it is permissible;

Section 16-11-129 and even then the person may only carry the pistol, revolver, or concealable firearm only in a shoulder holster, waist belt holster, or any other holster (ankle holster, crotch holster, fanny pack holster, pocket holster,ect) and also a hipgrip or any other similar securing device (a hipgrip is a type of grip that has a clip sticking out to hook on to your belt or pants, a similar device to the hipgrip is a clip) at which point the weapon MAY BE concealed by the person's clothing, or handbag, purse, briefcase, or any other close container. (Concealed carry is an option but is NOT required to carry a firearm. Firearms can be openly carried. However if you are concealing, the firearm MUST be carried in a holster, clip or similar type of securing device)

I use a Clipdraw with a model 60 and have no intention of ever using anything else. Very concealable, very comfortable.

I have one on one of my 342Tis, and use it regularly for boot top carry. I've used both the Barami and the Clip Draw for belt carry, but the gun rides too high in the waistband for secure carry with the Clip Draw, at least for me, with snubbies. With a 3" or longer barrel, I expect it would be fine. I do prefer holster carry, for my primary pistol.

The one shown on this Detonics:

was used on a GI 1911A1 for a couple of Years before the GI gun got turned in. It was transferred to a Colt MK-IV, Series 70, in .45ACP, where it stayed for a couple of Years. This particular Detonics resided in the Collection of Col. Robert Gideon for a number of Years. Part of the time he displayed it with the device in place and part of the time without it. When the gun came home again the part went back in place.

I don't think I would use one of these for anything other than these two particular guns.

If you are carrying it in your pocket, why not use a pocket holster? It ssems to me the clip is a gimmick, and not very secure. IMHO a good quality holster would be more secure and give you a broader range of options.

i use it everyday, works great just make sure you're wearing an undershirt.

Here's a variation of it on a Series 70 Colt.

Used it back in the day before inside the pants holsters were popular. Worked good.
