If your going to go there then go all the way and do the whole gun!
 
I almost had a seizure just looking at the picture. For me, that travesty would be a hard "no". Actually, it would be a "H E double hockey sticks" no.
 
I don't like nickel guns (matter of taste) but when I had the chance to pick up a nickel 586-3 with an easily corrected mechanical problem recently I jumped on it because it was priced at half the going rate. I have owned some ugly guns, but you couldn't give me that. Just seeing it will give me flashbacks.

You know that would make a good hunting 357. Replace the stocks with rubber, add a scope, then spray paint the whole thing with od green. Hunt hard and wouldn’t in the least bit worry about it.
