586…

offer $450 and grab it, then hose it with brake cleaner, it should flake off and see if the underneath is fine.

I'd be real interested in this "plug" and how I get this done on my recent purchase of a 586L comp

Wow, I thought my eyes were playing a trick on me. I am to much of a traditionalist to be seen with that one. UNLESS!!!, it was super cheap, (and I mean SUPER cheap) then I would leave it in my rig until dark and sneak it into the shop and see if I could get whatever that finish is, off.

What bugs me is the front sight. It looks like a ramp front partially converted to Patridge. You'd still get the ramp sight glare. As for the weird finish, it's good for a steep price reduction.

That almost matches my fuel rail covers...

Adios,

Pizza Bob

Hopefully your covers are actual carbon fiber weave. They aren't giving too many Corvettes away these days....

FWIW, the cylinder of the OP's potential 586 indicates it wasn't much to look at prior to the dip job, anyway.

Certainly not my cup of tea, but if I could get it cheap, I might and use it as a project gun.

As another mentioned, it might be that way to hide something….
