Well, it's been a long time since I bedded a stock, but I used Acra-glas gel and was very pleased with the results. I recently used JB to bed the rear of a scope mount because it is what I had available. They both are fine, but I think the Acra-glas was a bit easier to use, especially since all you need comes in the kit. They both are similar to machine after hardening; perhaps the JB is a bit tougher, or gummier if that makes sense. If you go with Acra-glas you can get a kit with lots of options, a telephone help line, and a product that has been proven over the years. I need to bed a couple of walnut stocks this spring and will probably go back with the Brownells product. While the JB is a fine product you are on your on and sometimes the learning curve is a bit frustrating. Good luck.
