Interchangeable front Night Sight?

I was looking for night sights for my 686+ Pro but found out my front sight is an interchangeable patridge sight. Unfortunately, I thought the pinned sight would work but obviously not ha. Does anyone know of a night sight manufacturer that makes interchangeable front sights? I can't find anything online. Thanks for your help guys

I bought this one from SDM years ago

You could also send your existing blade off to tooltech and have them place a Trijicon tritium vial into it

Or purchase a spare sight blade from the S&W Web Store and have almost any local gunsmith install a tritium vial in it. It is a very simple operation, all you do is drill a hole of the correct size and install the vial with a drop of epoxy.

BTW, you might want to poke around on the S&W web store just because you have that interchangeable sight. You'll find that they offer a fibre optic blade and my favorite, a gold bead patridge.

Thanks scooter. I definitely checked that out already but just wasn't sure if the gold bead was going to do the trick. What are your thoughts on the fiber optic sights? I feel like they're functional but ugly and fragile.

Fibre optics only work well in full daylight. Believe me, I've tried them and they just don't light up at an indoor range or in subdued lighting. You need full daylight overhead. Gold bead sights on the other hand due pick up almost any light present and will give you a glimmer of reflection in some pretty miserable lighting. I just wish that S&W would get clever enough to produce a rear sight blade with some chrome plated beads. Because while I can pick up the glimmer of the gold bead on the barrel of my 625 the rear sight is totally invisible at the indoor ranges in my area. It frustrates the heck out of me, 4 years ago I could see the sights on a handgun with ease, today all I have to work with is an out of focus dot. Getting old stinks.

Well thanks for the advice scooter. I'm going to try out a gold bead for now. S&W is sending me one off of their JM 625. I'll let you know how I feel about it

This is kind of an old thread, but if anyone is still looking for an interchangeable front blade night sight call 1-888-744-4880 and order a number 10-2180P-275-4. This is an XM standard dot front night sight .275 tall (shortest height they make). Had one on my 625 JM and just ordered another for my 627 Pro.
