I find the factory sight on my 29-10 all but worthless in bright sunlight. Does anyone make a pin-in replacement for these sights?

Thanks

What color is the sight that is "worthless" in sunlight? If it is the standard blued/serrated "Baughman" sight I can't see how this is possible. Have you considered using cold blue that will dull it some, or painting it?

The orange insert is the problem as glare is terrible in bright sunlight. I tried painting it but of course this gets rubbed off as it's pulled in and out of a holster.

The orange inserts make it all but impossible to tell where the top of the sight is in bright light. You need either an all black sight or a fiber optic with black around it. The fiber optic helps in low light conditions.

We make pin on, classic (clip on), and custom S&W revo front sights.

Well, crud! I wish I would've seen this post sooner. Emails from this forum are going into my Spam folder and I just now found the notification. Anyhow, I found a pin-in Patridge on eBay and bought it.
I am definitely going to give your sights a lookover though. I may try a fiber sight soon as I hunt with revolvers and game seems to prefer low light
