Does anyone know of a gunsmith that specializes in Para Ordnance pistols (specifically LDA 1911's) since Para is no longer in business? Thanks for any help!

What type of issue or work do you want done ?

Cylinder & Slide is one reputable option I know that works on the Para 1911
Cylinder & Slide Inc

Although Remington did commit (2015) to supporting the Para warranty, I do not know if they do any work or may possibly recommend someone.

There are several sources for parts still out there, Sarco comes to mind along with Numerich, I have two Para's, both LDA and I grabbed extra parts specific to the firing group. Twenty years now and have not had a need to replace them. Most of the parts are common 1911 types.

Thanks for the reply, I picked up an officers sized LDA that was absolutely like new in box off GB last week it's tight and the workmanship looks great...except the gun light strikes well over half the time, I mean just barely dimples the primer even when it fires. I noticed the mainspring housing (and everything else) is about 1/8 inch shorter than a standard officers model. I'm going to try a standard officers spring and maybe have to shorten it a little. Was Just wondering who actually works on these LDA's if I can't get it to work.
