    Model 58

Anybody have any idea what sending the gun back to S&W to be cleaned up and re blued would do to the value? Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk

Why the Model 58 instead of the 57?

I never took it as a faulting. [emoji4] To each their own. I've used both and, like you, have my preferences. Hope you have a great holiday season and Merry Christmas! Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk

    Model 58

Thank you Rapidray. I'm thinking, although I intend to carry this one and use it, that I'll leave the finish alone unless I opt to send it back to S&W to be reblued and cleaned up. If I were to do that would it effect is collectibility seeing that it would be the factory that made it working on...

Thinking about going back to my .38 Special Smiths for carry...

You're not alone in your preference for a resolver. As much as I like my 1911, P226, and P 35 I'll always gravitate to the round gun when given a choice. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk

Dumb question. What's a lazy ampersand? For that matter, what's an ampersand? Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk

Need 1st press advice, what do you suggest?

Even if only for a month I would start on a single stage. You can buy a single stage press and a turret or progressive. Just a single stage, without the kit, won't set you back too much and let you delve in to loading at a slower pace that let's you begin to understand what is happening...

Why the Model 58 instead of the 57?

To each their own. I've lost sights on duty guns so I don't have much use for them on a fighting handgun. One of my friends demands them on his guns. It takes all kinds to make the world turn I guess. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk

Why the Model 58 instead of the 57?

What draws me to the model 10 is part of what draws me to the model 58. It is a basic no frills fighting gun that can be used in inclement weather to shoot your opponent and then beat to death any survivors. It is a fang bearing wolf in a world of golden retrievers. It's prettiness comes in...

    The 'unofficial' 58 Club

Late 1964 or early 1965. Rumor has it that it belonged to a retired LEO that used it as a personally owned duty gun back in the day. It's trigger is smooth but has the holster wear to substantiate the rumor. I found it a couple of years ago at a local gun shop. I didn't have the funds to buy...

    The 'unofficial' 58 Club

Thank you Bob. I've lusted after a Model 58 for thirty years, or so, and finally got one too call my own. I've shot friend's 57 and 58 resolvers every chance I've had just never broke down and bought one. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk

    Model 58

I know who loaded the reloads and he's the only person whose reloads I would even consider using. With that said these loads went through Hurricane Katrina so I'll be pulling bullets just for the brass and projectiles. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk

    The 'unofficial' 58 Club

Finally found a model 58. Sold to me by a good friend. This was a duty gun back in the day and had some miles. I'm thinking of getting it ceracoated as I'm planning on using it for a bear country back up gun. The box of ammo is full by the way and I'm planning to leave it alone and not shoot...
