Visited local shop to brag about a Model 28-2 Highway patrolmen I found the other day. They said "Check this one out." It is a pinned barrel NIB Model 28-2 SN#S321786. Un fired with the original price sticker on the box..$98.50! Is it worth $679.00? I will probably get a discount.

The right grip has 114924 stamped into the wood....are these replacements? Some of the grip frame markings are; on left side, X 25446, circled (22). Right side: triangle /A\, circled (7). The 25446 is also stamped on the yoke.

Pics of LPD Model 10-5 If it works! I have a question about the grip panels..should they be checkered? They do not appear to have been sanded.

I snagged a Victory Model today. It has the lanyard ring..V 175048 preceeded by ordnance bomb stamped on grip frame. No other stampings, no US PROPERTY or P proof.. Very nice S&W logo and the serial number is on all the right places. Roll mark on barrel is 38 S&W SPECIAL CTG. I paid $250...
