I used to buy Speer plastic capsules and make shot loads but does anyone have experience making loads that didn’t need a plastic capsules? Example: a gas check, bb’s, then gas check over powder.

EGW guns makes one, they had a special a while back where you got the mount for half price if you bought a red dot too.

The old no gunsmithing mount from b-square is an option . You don't need the clamps on a 22 . I've used this mount on my 17-6 pre full lug , a 17-4 . It's an option if you don't want to drill and tap, but it is higher above the bore.

They required I send my 329pd grips in when they failed , about a 2 week turn around.

Nice ,when you open the cylinder what dash did they label it. 648-3 ? They jumped a few numbers with the 18 & 48’s . I see a few are on an auction site under “ other S&W’s”.

Yes they are plastic but have no odor yet . I still plan on trying something as I like the look and feel for a woods gun I have. Since I posted this I came across a few magnas that were in a musty old basement that deserve to be saved and now have some ideas to try. Thanks

I have an old pair of Fitz k-frame grips I thought I would put on my new/used 17-9 . They’ve been off a gun for quite awhile and somehow got warped just a little. About 1/16” at the bottom rear. I’ve heard they can be straightened but no one knows how . Can they? Ideas ?
