    Best Self-Defense Ammo for 642?

I like the Gold Dots in mine, ran into a good deal on them from a shop in NY state a while back and bought a case. I had my 642 ported and tuned, and added wood stocks; now it's great with the +P's.

    Boot Grips- let's see em'!

Marc does great work! Here's mine, look familiar? Hit the range again yesterday, I really like the fire coming out in the V-6 pattern, and the whole package really handles the Gold Dot +Ps I use for it.

Model 581 a few questions about it

That's a beauty, I agree about not changing it or the sights. 581's are a rare find and great guns.

New 642 no lock: Gemini Custom Style! (Range report)

Had a chance to hit the range yesterday. Flat love this gun, great shooter! Smooth as silk. Has some "porting flash" but comes back on target fast and muzzle flip is way reduced. Frankly I see no problem with nice bright flash on a carry gun, seems like it would be an advantage!

New 642 no lock: Gemini Custom Style! (Range report)

Just got back my 642 from Marc Morganti, and I am a happy camper! He did the V-6 642 package, full action job, porting, barrel crown, cylinder throat chamfer, etc. It looks beautiful and I can't wait to get it to the range. Once I do so I will do a quick range report. Marc is a total pro, and...

    any love for the 581/681?

I had a 581 for years, one of the most accurate guns I had, just shot beautifully. I ended up giving it to my son, it is his favorite gun now.

    Colt Python 6" SS

Serial number does bear out '85 or so, and it being stainless the rubber stocks are probably correct. Colt did some weird things with stocks sometimes so hard to tell for positive. With correct box and in shape as you mention my opinion worth $1K, fair deal for both of you. You might want to...

    New production S&W WITHOUT IL!!!

I have one, great gun so far. I am going to ship it to Gemini Custom to get it tuned and ported, should make it just about perfect! The stories I heard was S&W found about 500 old frames so made these up the old fashioned way with screw in barrels.
