I purchased this Model 14 today. Its a little beat up with a few scratches and some holster wear. It is SN K3200XX which the SCSW shows 1958. It has no model number or serial number under the crane. It is a 4- screw, 10 lines on the backstrap and along the top. The book isn't specific enough...

Mine was made in 1978 with a 36KXXXX serial number and 6 1/8" bbl. I had noted the rarity of it for some time.

A couple of odd ones in my safe. A 647-1, A K-Frame in 17 HMR. It came from the performance center with the bipod and optic. 642-2, should have been stainless steel. Has a ported barrel.

The 15-8 is #2 in the series. I got it from a local collector at a gun show and he died 2 days later. I hope it wasn't from a broken heart. Never been fired and the case hardening is stellar.

The new cost on these was $1390 in 2014, $1419 in 2015. Last one I saw for sale sold for $2655 on 9-16-22. Not something you see every day. I think $1250 is a fair price.

Welcome to the forum, lot of good folks here. The 19-2 was made from 1961 to 1967 Yours was made about 1966-1967. Round butt is nice, they seem to be available in both round and square butt. I just got a 19-3 4" in nickel for $700 and was happy about it.

The 8 3/8" s&w case is 7 7/8 x 16 x 3" They are fun projects except for installing the felt. Here are a few of mine.

The first one looks like a WWII M&P (Pre Model 10) or may be a spanish copy. The last one is a J-Frame Target grip ment to cover up the round butt frame and make it closer to a sqare butt grip.
