    A Mismarked 581ND

My dealer called today to say they had a 58-1 and did I want it. Well, I did, but when I got there it wasn't my model 58 grail gun but a 581. So $400 later I am at home and see that it is mismarked 58-1. I see some posts saying it is rare, yada, yada. So my question, is it special? What grip...

    Which Model 14- is this?

thanks for the replies. There are no markings under the crane, photo below There is evidence that the gun had a set of magna's at one time, the scratches continue under the target grips. But the target grips could still be correct? I paid $400 for it, so I am happy with it even with the...

    Which Model 14- is this?

I purchased this Model 14 today. Its a little beat up with a few scratches and some holster wear. It is SN K3200XX which the SCSW shows 1958. It has no model number or serial number under the crane. It is a 4- screw, 10 lines on the backstrap and along the top. The book isn't specific enough...

Mine was made in 1978 with a 36KXXXX serial number and 6 1/8" bbl. I had noted the rarity of it for some time.

    2023 Purchases

The 15-8 is #2 in the series. I got it from a local collector at a gun show and he died 2 days later. I hope it wasn't from a broken heart. Never been fired and the case hardening is stellar.

Value of a 647 PC Updated

The new cost on these was $1390 in 2014, $1419 in 2015. Last one I saw for sale sold for $2655 on 9-16-22. Not something you see every day. I think $1250 is a fair price.

Need help with grip id ?

The first one looks like a WWII M&P (Pre Model 10) or may be a spanish copy. The last one is a J-Frame Target grip ment to cover up the round butt frame and make it closer to a sqare butt grip.
