My M&P is going to the doctor, wait time?

Word is that's strictly a slide lock. Not a slide release. I know we've had several people actually snap that tab off their gun altogether attempting to use it as a slide release. Grab the rear of the slide at the serrations and use the sling shot method. Don'e know how you're going to do it...

The downside of buying ammo in bulk...

I think you guys can tell from my post that I don't really think it's a big deal either. I'd rather pay a couple extra bucks than owe a couple extra bucks. Just thought it funny we all buy in bulk online to save a couple bucks. Then, because we have a stock of ammo at the house, we usually end...

The downside of buying ammo in bulk...

I'll bring a couple boxes to the range with me and some friends. They bring no ammo and buy a couple boxes from the range shop. Being the friends that we are, we all just kinda share and shoot whatever (as I think most everyone does). End of the day, they split their range/ammo charge at the gun...

Should Ammo Type Be Mixed For Defense?

Buy two boxes of high quality defense HP ammo (usually sold in boxes of 25). Go to the range. Shoot half a box slowly and ensure no malfunctions/accuracy is where it should be. Shoot the other half in rapid fire and ensure no malfunctions. Load up the remaining box in your mags and go home.

    Weird ammo question

Some guns are picky with ammo. Don't know what else it could be. Is one round nose and the other hollow point? That may be it... And I hear nothing but bad things about Remington's rimfire ammo. The Ruger guys don't like it either.

    "speed loaders"

Uplula really pays off when you're fully loading your mags. Using your hands gets tough with 10+ rounds in the mag. Uplula makes short work of it.

I had no idea the Space Station had grown to this size

Now that we've built it up... let's pass it to the Russians.

Looking for a good carry round ???

VERY good read. One note about his notes: Hornady's Critical Defense rounds now have a polymer insert in their hollow point rounds. To quote from them: I wonder if it's a marketing scam, or it actually helps?

    M&P9c slide lock issues??

Does it actually say in the manual to not use as a slide release? Or is it just labeled as slide lock?

    M&P 9 or M&P 45

Kinda my thought. Or being that 9mm is one of the cheapest centerfire rounds you can buy, the difference in the price of reloading .45acp versus buying 9mm in bulk isn't enough to worry about. Certainly not enough to force you into a particular gun purchase...

    9mm rounds in a .40 magazine?

I'm surprised someone hasn't rigged a 100-round mag together for range use. Lop off the base of one mag and weld on another, then another, then another, etc. Find a really long spring. Have a 4 foot long mag HAHAHA

    steel or brass

I've never had a problem with steel ammo, but my current local range will not allow it.

Recoil on my M&P9c blew out the front sight paint...

~5000 rounds without a problem for me. Thinking about trying some green site paint though...

    I smell shill bidding

I've seen items go for 5-6 times what they would new.... no clue what the hell is going on.

Do you oil or grease the rails?

I use CLP everywhere. That's what I used in the military, so I think it's good enough for my home.

    Why don't you like plastic?

I've got ZERO problems with polymer.

    Best mid-priced ammo

Another vote for Federal at WalMart. Shot...geez... probably 2000 rounds of it through my M&P with issue. EDIT: And I've hunted after 9mm in bulk. Once you add in shipping, there's only a few deals that beat the $10.47 deal for quality ammo at WalMart. TulAmmo is cheaper (also available at...

    TruGlo

I considered these for awhile. But then heard mediocre reviews of them in LOW (not no) light conditions (as with indoor ranges). I live in urban areas and we only have indoor shooting ranges. People on this board also posted pictures of the rods coming unseated. Decided to hold off.

    M&P rail opinion

I agree. Give me blued steel in any shape, with stellar performance.

    Questions About 9mm M&P

Since everyone pretty much answered your other questions, One of the more highly regarded lasers is made by Viridian. My father has one for his Taurus 24/7 (although they're just rail mounted obviously). It worked well for about 5-6 range days. Now it randomly kicks on and off when the gun...
