I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine. I don't know the answer about the mags but S&W uses a 18lb recoil spring in the TA. I called them to find out when I changed mine out. Good luck.

The two mags that came with my TA haver never gave me any problems.

Looks like you could just rotate the anchors and get multiple dry fires before replacing.

I think it's common from from what I've seen. I have a few with a slight variance like you described. I wouldn't worry about it unless your pistol is spitting lead really bad, a lot of lead build up etc.

I ordered a 6" 617 back in feb.and it took almost 6-months before it came in. I was in there a couple of weeks ago and he had a new 63. I think the price was 749.00. My LGS seems to be getting a lot of Smiths in lately. I hope your gun comes in soon.

I got lucky over a month ago. I too have been looking for a 4" 617 I have the 6" model. I went to a GS that I don't go to very much looking for ammo and he had 3 new 4" models under the glass. After carefully checking them out I came home with one.

Hard to beat a good 617.

I've never had to send anything in for repair but I would call them if it was me.
