    +P 125gr 38 vs. 125gr JHP 357 Magnum?

You know, I'd never really thought of it in those terms, but you're right. Erich, what do you like in your little .357's?

    +P 125gr 38 vs. 125gr JHP 357 Magnum?

I understand that the 125gr JHP magnum is hard on K frames, but have read that it is one of the best rounds to use for self defense. I'd like to sight my 2 1/2" model 19-5 in for the magnum round, and was wondering if I can 'cheat' and sight in and practice with a +P 125gr 38 special instead...

Paladin, are those the banana style, or the retro combat style grips?

    Plug for the hole :D

I would definitely buy one. I don't know how hard it would be to make, but I also like the idea of making it look like a screw.

    Bullard Holsters?

I was just wondering if anyone has one or has any experience with the holsters made by D.M. Bullard in Texas? I'm thinking about getting one for my 2 1/2" model 19-5. Here's a link; Gun Leather, Concealment and Cowboy holsters, Azle, TX.

Duty Ammo for Phoenix PD @ 1977

The other night I was watching 'The Gauntlet', and it got me thinking. Does anyone know what the duty issue load for the Phoenix PD would have been around 1977 ? Just curious what ol' Ben was carrying in his 66.

    38 Special 200gr

I picked up a full box of the Winchester version about two years ago. I too am interested in the older police loads, including the 110gr Super Vel JHP, and the Federal +P+ 110gr. From a nostalgic perspective, I think they are pretty neat. I almost wonder if these would be better suited for...

    My new Model 19-5

A few weeks ago I asked if 325.00 was reasonable for a slightly worn model 19-5 made in 1983. I got some encouraging responses, so I picked it up. I was able to talk him down to 300.00. I also picked up a set of correct magna's from Guns America and finally took some pictures. She has some...

    Correct Grips for 19-5

I just picked up a model 19-5 with a 2 1/2" barrel. I'd like to get the correct style of Magna grips for it, and was wondering if someone could help me with this. While looking at factory Magna grips, I've noticed two variations; one seems a little more rounded, and the checkered area seems...

Old service grips on New (IL) 637

I bought one of the 'no lock' model 37-2's last year and immediately put a set of old wood grips on it. They fit perfectly. Find a Tyler T-grip and you'll have a great 'retro' looking gun.
