    686 grips

Either grips will work as long as it has back strap coverage. Also you might want to look into Tuffs speed strips. Alot cheaper than speedloaders and will work great. Midway USA has them for cheap.

    Cleaning Cylinder Front?

I have mostly stainless Smiths and clean the front of the cylinder with Flitz, just to make it look clean to me. Personal preference...Today I shot my NightGuard with the blackened stainless cylinder and wondered what would be a safe cleaner that would return it to the "clean" look.

    S&W N-Frame Grips on a L-Frame

As one poster mentioned Altamont grips, I called them...Talked to the person "in charge". These grips do not exist anymore... We can make new one somewhat like them and for only $62. I asked the obvious question as to why they went from $48 to $62. He explained to me that they were never $48...

    S&W N-Frame Grips on a L-Frame

Thats odd, thats what I did 5 days ago. Today I got the mail saying back ordered. Talked to Smith and they said they were in a warehouse and had no idea when they could get them. Have already gotten passed this and found another approach. Thanks for your post.

    Input needed...Night Guard OR

Sorry forgot to mention, if this works OK I am going to get the 325. I see that also has the FP problem, but once corrected it is a great shooter. I will let you know about that one also.

    Input needed...Night Guard OR

Pick it up tomarrow...Hopefully will be shooting soon after. Will let you know. I assume I will have to get the firing pin fixed as alot of them have this problem and Smith seems to have trouble getting ahead of the curve. We will see.

    Input needed...Night Guard OR

Just a follow up post...Well I now have both the 627 4" and the 327 NightGuard. Got the 627 first and just ordered the 327 today. The .357 collection is starting to grow again. Thanks for all the input/help.

    360 not marked +P?

I have also come to believe it will definately work in 357 guns, in fact much better than using 38 Specials in the 357. I think a modern day 38 Special made like the 360 (with Scandium and Stainless cylinder) as WC has modded is fine, but I am not sure with the pressure difference between the 38...

    648

I had a 648 6 inch and traded it to a friend years ago. I have asked a thousand times if he would trade back. Answer is strong no. The amazing thing is it is still unfired. I think I will call him today and see if he has weakend any.

    360 not marked +P?

WC, did you happen to shoot any 38 Supers in it prior to your mod? My 38 ammo fits nicely into the cylinder, but have not shot it yet.

    357 Conversion to 38 Super

Just to keep beating this subject...I found a report by Ed Sanow who conducted an extensive review of this subject and yes you can do this. His comment was interesting to me that instead of using 38+P in a 357 you can use the 38 Super and get much more power, less muzzle flash, and better...

    360 not marked +P?
