Model 10 Serial Number Range**UPDATE- Pics Added!**

Yeah I'd buy it too. And I'm not buying any guns these days. I know we haven't seen pictures but pretty sure you could make a good profit if you chose to sell it. And maybe look again at the "10-6" stamp. Sure it's not 10-8? That's more in line with that SN.

    Mod 28-2 Highway Patrolman

Nothing wrong. Like you said, prior owner chose to highlight markings. You can likely remove with acetone/toothbrush.

Factory Target Question - Late 28-2 back from Springfield

Yep, I'm leaving windage as is and I've already turned elevation up two clicks...and now I'll make it three lol. Just don't know how soon I'll get to range. First day back from vacation today and it's been bad. On top of that I may need to do damage assessments at my customer locations post...

Factory Target Question - Late 28-2 back from Springfield

Other than my skill level for handgun shooting, I'm not sure why I had issue with this particular 28-2. For instance, for N-Frame's I have a 25-2, two 4" 28-2's, and a 29-2 that I can shoot much to my satisfaction. Likewise, I've got an assortment of J, K, and L frames that group just fine...

Thank you. I didn’t know which end of the target was up.

Factory Target Question - Late 28-2 back from Springfield

My late six inch 28-2 just came back from Springfield. I'd sent it in thinking a canted barrel/bent frame. Here's a picture of the target from their test firing. Other than the handgun printing good windage, is it shooting high or low? I just don't know what the point of aim relative to...

Model of 10-5 stamped "Davidsons Greensboro, NC

No, it's a modified clearance cut M1 stock. Which would not be an "as manufactured" for this particular serial number.

Model of 10-5 stamped "Davidsons Greensboro, NC

Adding to Absalom's comments. In the USGI M1 Carbine sphere, Davidson imports (re-imports to be more precise) were often in good as-issued condition. And their stamp, "DAVIDSONS GREENSBORO NC" was only lightly etched on the bottom of the barrel. This particular example from my collection is a...

    18-3

Here's my only 18, a dash 4. And while I actually shot it right after I bought it, it's yet to make it back to the range. So I guess I'm in the same "looking for a shooter" club.

Congrats! A high end shooter in my book.

    29-2 display case felt

I hear ya Automag. At least that's what my wife used to say, that I'd NEVER sell anything. But I'm pretty sure I will. Unless I die first. That could happen.

    29-2 display case felt

Not a foam sheet on bottom, only top. Rather, an elastic type material on the bottom that lasted maybe 20 years tops. If a revolver had been placed in it all you'd have seen the depression somewhat. Here's the last pic of mine before I transformed it.

    29-2 display case felt

Nice time capsule box Bill! To me, the box restoration subject looks to be a topic that lots of us can agree to disagree. When I had my long lost 29-2 and all it's packaging returned to me, I was introduced to Joe Cebul's work. It sounded great to me, and as mentioned he ended up "guiding"...

I did this work myself. Cost was materials only. Glad you like your velvet job!

    29-2 display case felt

Here's before and after pics of mine. I don't recall the name of the type of material, but Joe had recommended and I picked it up from Joanne Fabrics. Again, personal preference but I would take this over flock or velvet.

    29-2 display case felt

Point is that Joe’s method, meaning materials, are superior to the flocking applied in original factory presentation cases. No doubt others have chosen to restore with a flocking. I opted for Joe’s method.
