    S&W .44Spl 24-3 or What?

Both of my 24-3s are serial numbered in the ABZ range as well. Lucky you.

    Opinions on 9mm caliber conversions?

There have been a couple of threads on this on the old site. As I recall, most posts seem to indicate the owners are pleased with the results. Likely it is possible to still do a search on the previous site.

If you could only own 1 S&W revolver?

M66-3" would be my first choice.

Does anyone else have a M65?

The M65 3" is a primo carry revolver. Actually any K frame 3" is super. I have a 3"65 as well as 3"13s. A 65LS would be nice, but they are too pricey for me. If only I could find a 3" M10...... But dang they are scarce (at least at the moment). While dating myself, a 3"65 was my first new...

24-3 Owners! Let's See If Our Serial #'s Are Close!

I just acquired 4"-ABZ219x; have had 6.5" ABZ774x for several years.

    M&P 9L

Consider Speed Shooter Specialties for your trigger woes. They were able to improve the trigger on my M&P Pro and on my wife's M&P JG9. Turn around was about 3 weeks.

Advantages of 40 vs. 45 ACP?

Proper sight alignment in conjunction with sight placement and trigger press, thus allowing projectile to impact in the proper/vital place will always be of greater value than projectile size.

    Help!, sudden onset of BRD

I'll bet you could start forest fires shooting that big 500 during the dry season........

9mm Luger - What type of reloading powder do you recommend?

I have had very good results with Hogdon Titegroup. It is very economical (a plus in these times). I am also a big fan of AA#5. I primarily use 115gr FMJs in 9mm.

    You buy guns online because...

My preference is to buy from the local shop I frequent. If it is current production and available thru distributors, then I get it from the shop. I usually get first pick at used S&Ws, but if I can't locate by any other means, I go to the net. To date, of the 6 or 8 I have bought sight unseen...

    9mm Browning long...

I would think it should be fine. Likely it will be milder than most 9x23 loads. How old is the ammo - is it likely to have corrosive primers? Not a big deal as long as clean appropriately, which would be even easier with stainless.

    heads up on 3" 13

Has anyone seen a M10, 3" RB, blue that might be available? Dang things are like chicken's teeth in Georgia.

    Should I regret this trade???

You could have done worse. In 1971, I traded a commercial P38 & a 22 LR conversion kit for a....NIB Model 28 cause I just had to have a 357. Jeez. I still cringe. Thankfully it was a friend that brokered the deal for me.........

    picking up brass

Try a search for brass catcher. The link is to a company that makes them. I have a couple of theirs for a Sten & AR15 and they work well. It may be one they make can be modified for the Highpoint. http://www.brasscatchers.com/store/brasscatcher.html

    Maybe just a pipe dream...

I'm confident that with a sufficient input of money it could be accomplished. The big question is HOW MUCH??? But as you say, it would be a neat plinker and the subject of much input on the forum. I'll have to be content with a mundane run-0f-the-mill K frame .22.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder~ Model 19 grips~

I have a set like that on a Model 60 no dash. They actually work pretty well for pocket use. I think they are more useful on fixed sight guns.

    Model 10-8 3"

Indeed, as my friend WT said - I am on a quest for a blue 3" M10 RB. Who would have known they are so hard to find. I would appreciate any reader that could put me onto one. I'm not greedy - only one. thanks a bunch. Howard

    Installing sights on a M64/65...

Look at Hamilton Bowen's website. He can install upgraded fixed sights. Very neat. But, quality work is pricey.

    LA Sheriffs Dept dropping M&P9?...

While I believe the skin has been flogged off this horse, I felt compelled to comment. Those who are on the job understand why it was done, but I have always wondered why those who are not cops, have never been cops, seem to be such experts on the subject. Likely the removal of the M&P from...

    Hi Viz Sights

Thanks for the heads up on the foot. I am prone to hurry and order things and then leave them in the bag till it strikes my fancy to do the install.
