    Mod 66-2 Round Butt?

The Model 66 was a very popular among law enforcement departments. Although not a cataloged product, I expect the factory would put a 4" barrel on a round butt frame for a special order from a LE agency. More often we've seen cases where an individual officer or security guard had a 4" barrel...

What Ammunition For 1916 Mk II .455 Eley

Since Starline is making .455 Mk I brass with the thin (.039") case rim I emailed them earlier this week asking they consider making the longer Mk I brass . . . no reply yet. Question . . . can I get by with using either my Dillon or RCBS .45 Colt die set? I feel confident the resizing die...

    15-3 38 Spec.

My guess is the OP's outstanding 15-3 shipped just as it appears with target hammer & trigger and magna stocks. Here is another one from a little earlier in October 1970. Russ

    Cash back ?

I too believe we are confusing two very different "cash back" transactions. 1. "Cash Back" at your local grocer or merchant has existed a long time in the form of writing a check (or charging a debit card) for more than the cost of goods purchased and receiving "cash back" for the difference...

how fragile is the circa 1995 matte blue finish from the PC?

A friend recently acquired a 3” Model PC-13 (model 13-4) and needs to clean up some spots on the finish. My initial reaction was to have him soak with Kroil followed with a light touch using bronze wool soaked in Kroil . . . but I hesitate to recommend that not knowing if it will leave...

Here are a couple of 3" 31-1s to tide you over until you have your own. The flat latch I bought new in August 1965 and the one with the later style cylinder release latch shipped in May 1966 (shortly after the latch change took place) Russ

Do hogue Bantams go on and off easily?

Like others, I found Hogue Bantams fairly easy to install & remove, especially with the wedge tool. And, for a boot grip, I like their feel. For a more full-size grip I really like the Hogue Tamers on my Centennial but install/remove is not so easy! There's a PDF file on their web site that...

    Identification and Descriptions

Your K-22 should have a letter K serial number prefix and, as already pointed out it is a K-22 Masterpiece (not Combat) and does not have period-correct stocks. Your Model 15-2 is correctly named a Combat Masterpiece. All three very nice, desirable guns . . . good luck, Russ

Will definitely shoot it . . . have 60 rounds of 265 gr Hornady Mk II ammo on hand and located some 262 gr from Fiocchi. Commercial Mk II Webley ammo, while not plentiful, is available . . . notice I didn't say cheap . . . but haven't found any Commercial Mk I .455 Colt. I do plan to reload...
