What to do with a Kel Tec.....

My P11 has been pretty good. I have better guns for EDC so I don't carry it anymore. Years ago it was a gun I would just throw in my waist pack when I would take walks in the evenings around my neighborhood and cane files around here. Now my LCR .357 has that duty. And my 9mm Shield fills my...

.357 Magnum Brass for .38 Spcl Loads ??

I've been shooting lots of .38 Special loads in my magnums for 32 years now. Don't understand what all the "carbon ring" hoopla is all about. It has never been the slightest issue for me. I clean after each range session but nothing special.

Can sombody help me justify casting?

    1. I enjoy casting! 2. Since I have plenty of free scrounged cases and I use free WW lead from friends at tire shops I can load a box of .44 Magnum, .45 ACP, .40 S&W, .357 Magnum.... for less than $3.00/box of 50 (cost of powder and primers)! 3. I was completely unaffected by the last ammunition...

Shield: Thumb Safety Or No Thumb Safety?

One of the big selling points for me getting my Shield 9mm was the fact that it had a safety. I like the safety on some of my guns, particularly, a small gun with a light trigger, such as the Shield, that may be carried in a pocket (in a pocket holster), or in some other hidden spot. I carry...

    The answers are here...

Just bought my first Shield last week. Put 300 rounds of various ammo through it without one hiccup! I'm already in love with it and I have been carrying guns daily for 32 years. There is not much out there these days that impress me. My 9mm Shield does !!!!

    Finally discovered K frames

4" K Frames, to me, balance better than anything. 5" 1911 is a pretty close second. Everything else is distant! Nice shootin' irons!

Rock Island Tactical 1911 vs. Ruger SR1911

I've been shooting the snot out of my RIA 1911 .45 for 15 years now. If feeds everything I stuff in it which is mostly home cast lead handloads these days. I carry 230 gr HST's for business and they function flawlessly too. It is the most accurate 1911 I've ever owned, and I've owned a...

    Anyone use a fanny-pack/waist-pack?

I just use a regular old Fieldline camo waist pack from Wal Mart when hiking. I keep a KLCR .357 or 642, 1 speed strip, a Spyderco Endura, a small length of paracord, and a gallon sized ziplock bag in mine. Been working for me for about 15 years now.

    Fell for a GP100

I love my 66 and 686......but I love my GP100 too! I would be hard pressed to pick just one! Lot's of folks think they can only love one brand of gun, when God was passing out that impulse, thankfully, he passed over me!
