I was curious about that as well. After flipping through the S&W catalog I didn't see another like it. Yeah, shame it was plated, but I'm planning on shooting in any case. Is modern, non+P .38 Special ammo ok for this gun?

The shows in our area have been sad lately too. When you find S&W's, they are beat to heck and back and priced like they are 90%. If you wanted XDM or something like that, you could do ok at the shows we have, other than that.... I like that one, should be a great "in the saddle" companion.
