    29/629 super N

did s&w ever come out with a .44 mag resembling the 66 super k. i think that gun is smokin hot. i'm not a huge fan of the porting, but a 3" slab barrel is nice. if they didn't, then they should.

i think the r8 is a great idea and i've always wanted one.....and i'm glad that nobody on this forum is sensitive. if they were, then their feelings might really get hurt!

    Talo edition?

Talo is a distributor. just like lipsey's or lew horton. they get special runs of guns and sell them. sometimes with just very minute changes, like the wooden grips on the mountain gun.

choosing a smith and wesson for a farm hand

can't go wrong with a 44 mag. i don't know where your farm will be located, but it is more than powerful enough to handle anything a farmhand may encounter. the model 29 with a 4" barrel can be concealed- maybe not as easily as some other guns but it is still possible. plus big guns are more fun...

    mad max

i think i would take my marlin 336 trapper 30 30. lightweight, fast shootin, and chances of runnin into ammo is good.

What is Smith & Wesson's worst gun?

that's an easy one. it's whichever one that smithnut doesn't own.

    mad max

you wake up and find yourself in a mad max situation (aftermath of destruction, no govt, and very little civilized structure) you can take 1 gun from your collection. i know this isn't realistic cause you could walk around with as many as you could carry. but IF you could only have one, which...

    Source for silhouette front sight

i know i've seen some 8 3/8" 586 sil. if you are talking about a single action ruger, then it is possible to have the smith barrel mounted to the ruger frame, if you could manage to find one. it would prob cost, but the result would be really nice (a ruger with a ribbed smith barrel) The pics...

    Source for silhouette front sight

there was a run of 586's with 4 pos. silhouette sights. it's a shot in the dark but have you tried calling s&w. it's been a long time since they made any, but you never know, right? what kind of gun are you trying to put them on.

    My model 19-5

wish i still had my dash 5. i bought it from my first cousin who is like my little brother. it was his first gun and he was strapped for cash at the time. i knew that he would regret selling it later, so i enjoyed it and waited for the dreary day when he would come knocking. at least i got to...
